Food Skills Workshop Community Roadshow

As part of our Advancing Public Trust in Local Food project, Food Producers Forum is partnering with local community organizations to present a travelling roadshow of food skills workshops throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

The travelling roadshow is designed to connect directly with residents in both rural communities and urban centres, providing opportunities to learn practical food skills, explore local food opportunities, and discuss community-specific food issues.

• Introduction to Foraging (September 26th, 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM, Whitbourne)

• Food Preserving (October 6th, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, St. John's)

• Food Preserving (October 13th, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Conception Bay South)

• Greenhouse Gardening (October 22nd, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Broad Cove)

• Home Gardening (October 24th, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Whitbourne)

• Greenhouse Gardening (October 27th, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Gander)

• Building Healthy Soil (October 28th, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Gander)

• Greenhouse Gardening (October 28th, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Fleur de Lys)

• Greenhouse Gardening (October 29th, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Trout River)

• Home Gardening (November 3rd, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM, Salmon Cove)

• Beekeeping (November 14th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Torbay)

• Introduction to Foraging (Date & Time: TBA, Ferryland)
