The Food Producers Forum is hosting a Free Public Forum on Sunday, November 17, at 1 PM at the Autism Society Greenhouse in St. John’s (70 Clinch Crescent). This event aims to explore ways to rebuild local food production by integrating traditional methods with new technologies, in response to rising food prices and the loss of farmland.
The two-hour event will feature a short dramatic presentation followed by a panel discussion with experts in regenerative agriculture and sustainable food production.
Panelists include:
Dale Hamilton – Farmer and food activist presenting an original play on regenerative agriculture.
Jeff Ronan – Executive Director at The Mercy Centre for Ecology & Justice, leading regenerative agriculture efforts.
Dr. Nic Fairbridge – Researcher at Memorial University, involved in community food initiatives.
Heather Zurel – Founder of Data Farms, integrating data science with agriculture for sustainability.
Space is limited, and interested attendees can register by emailing foodproducersforum@gmail.com.
