Podcast host Steph Benoit’s grandma, Lois Armstrong, has had a huge influence on her relationship with the natural world. She wanted to interview her after spending some time reflecting on intergenerational knowledge and the very sacred way teachings on food have traditionally been passed down from our elders. In this conversation, they talked about gender roles in agriculture, how coming of age in the Great Depression influenced Lois’ understanding of self-sufficiency, and of course, they talked about seeds!
